Pixi Beauty has released a TON of new skincare products this year, nearly doubling their SkinTreats line. I recently received another gorgeous PR package from Pixi, which included some new Skintreats masks (Glow Glycolic Boost Mask and DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches). I also received Pixi's T-Zone Peel-Off Mask, Peel & Polish, and Glow Mud Mask.

- T-Zone Peel-Off Mask -
A detoxifying t-zone peel-off mask draws out impurities and lifts away oil to reveal immediate results. It contains a unique green super food blend that includes avocado, cucumber, aloe, green tea and bamboo extract to help firm & refine. Great for congested, dull and tired skin. Green Tea firms and is a powerful antioxidant. Includes seaweed which renews and conditions the skin, as well as skin hydrating and smoothing avocado.
To use, apply a thick even layer to your t-zone. Allow to completely dry then gently peel off. Pixi recommends using 1-2 times per week.
My best advice for using this mask is to follow the instructions and apply a THICK layer. The thicker the layer, the better the peel. The mask does leave your skin feeling fairly tight as it dries. Upon application you may notice a slight tingling effect, which disappears once the mask dries. The mask peels away easily without skin irritation. I absolutely love this mask! I was impressed with how soft and smooth my face appeared after the first use.
- Glow Mud Mask -
Glow Mud Mask stimulates, clarify, and brighten skin with this revitalizing mask. The mask is rich in minerals which absorbs oil and draws out impurities. The mask works to fight breakouts while giving skin's complexion an energizing boost. Includes purifying kaolin & sea salt and skin balancing ginseng & aloe vera.
How to use: In the PM apply a thin, (coin sized amount) even layer to clean skin, while avoiding the eye area. Then leave on for 15 minutes, rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Pixi recommends following with Glow Tonic. Repeat 2-3 times weekly.
I love how they pull out the bad stuff and make my face feel tighter and my pores appear smaller, but the cool thing about this one is that it actually really does boost and brighten the skin.
The mask is a dark green color and it has a strong herbal scent. During the 20 minutes I left it on I could feel my skin getting comfortably tighter. The mask rinsed off easily and left my face feeling refreshed and detoxed. If you find that a lot of mud masks have an intense tightening effect, Pixi Glow Mud Mask is great alternative. To my surprise, the mask was gentle on the skin without overdrying. I experienced only mild, yet tolerable stinging.
- Glow Glycolic Boost Mask -
Serum concentrate of glycolic acid brightens and herbal extracts help to improve and maintain skin health, promoting more luminous skin.
Pixi GLOW Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask, includes 3 individual (per box) fiber-based masks saturated in a serum. The serum includes glycolic acid, aloe, red gingsent, cucumber, tea, plus several other botanical extracts.
How to use: Pixi recommends using the Glycolic Boost Sheet Mask after cleansing and before moisturizer on bare skin. After cleansing place sheet mask onto face and pat contrours to fit snuggly. Leave on for 10-15 minutes. Remove mask & pat in excess serum to face, neck & décolletage. Store in fridge for a refreshing and depuffing effect.
Once applied, the Sheet Mask feels immediately soothing and hydrating, without any tingling sensation. The mask leaves a slightly tacky feeling, but leaves no residue. After wearing for 15 minutes, my face incredibly hydrated, with a noticeable radiant and refreshed glow. Overall, this is a great hydrating mask, providing gentle exfoliation and renewing effects. A quick boost of glow without irritation.
- Peel & Polish -
A dual-action peeling and scrubbing radiance revealing enzyme peel that resurfaces/polishes the skin for smoother, softer skin, and a healthy looking glow. Peel & Polish contains the skin exfoliant 6% lactic acid, plus fruit enzymes which loosen dead skins cells, cellulose peels, & sugar extracts polishes, lifting away dullness revealing brighter skin. Added ingredients include ginseng, witch hazel, cucumber, orange, lemon and papaya. The peel mask is free of parabens and is suitable for all skin types.
How to use: This Peel Mask can be used 2-3 times per week, either in the AM or PM. To use, first apply to face and neck, then leave on for 2 minutes. Next rinse off and pat dry. For more intense exfoliation, you can massage into your skin with circular motions.
If glycolic acid peels tend to be too drying for you, or you have sensitive skin, this may be a good mask to try. Lactic acid is more moisturizing than glycolic acid, and not excessively harsh.
- DetoxifEYE -
DetoxifEYE Depuffing Eye Patches help revive, refreshed and rehydrate the under-eye skin care. The hydrogel patches contain hyaluronic acid & caffeine to help smooth and depuff the under eye area, aiding in reducing dark circles. Included in the formulation is cucumber and gold to help soothe, nourish and fortify.
The hydrogel eye patches are enclosed in a small tub containing a plastic spatula. Inside the tub are 60 thin hydro-gel patches. The patches are lightly scented and pliable, despite the thin consistency. The patches can be refrigerated if desired, for an extra depuffing effect.
How to use: To use the eye patches, first use the enclosed spatula to gently lift and separate each patch. The patches should be applied to clean, dry under-eye skin. The thickest part of the patch should be at the outer corner. Repeat on other side, leave on for 10 minutes, then discard after use. After removing the patches, gently pat the residual serum into the skin. Do not wash off. Can be used daily, of as often as desired.
After the first use, (before bed) I noticed a noticeable difference in the appearance of my under-eye skin. My fine lines appeared smoother, and the under-eye skin had a more relaxed "depuffed" look. I have been using several times a week and have noticed a dramatic difference in my under-eye skin. I can certainly appreciate why the product is sold out online at pixibeauty.com.
Thank you again to Pixi Beauty for sending me these wonderful masks. I haven't been overly excited about masks in the past, but now I am hooked!
