I have been piling on the peptides since the recent launch of Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21™ collection. The peptide infused collection includes a Wrinkle Resist Serum, Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads and Lift & Firm Moisturizer. In less than 2 weeks of use I have noticed a dramatic improvement in my skin's texture and firmness, plus visible reduction in pore size. I was delighted to partner with Peter Thomas Roth and Influenster to be one of the first to try this collection right before it was released on March 5th.

Peter Thomas Roth Peptide 21 Skin Care Collection Review
Peptide 21 Wrinkle Resist Serum
Peptide 21 Wrinkle Resist Serum is a "revolutionary wrinkle fighting serum" which helps skin appear noticeably younger. The serum is designed to help improve the look of elasticity, radiance, uneven skin tone and texture. The 73% complex of 21 Peptides, neuropeptides and 2 gamma proteins work to target 8 signs of aging (forehead lines, "11" lines/forehead, temple area, eye area, pout lines, parentheses lines, marionette lines and jawline and neck).
It is also formulated with additional skin enhancing ingredients, including: Squalane, (which offers skin hydrating and antioxidant benefits), Hyaluronic AcidComplex, (helps the skin retain moisture and "plumps" up the skin) plus Vitamins A, C, E, which offer antioxidant and skin nutrient benefits.
It is recommended to apply the serum twice daily after cleansing to face and neck. The serum has a milky consistency, which absorbs easily. It is fragrance free. It wears well under makeup, and doesn’t leave my face feeling heavy, or oily. Upon application it feels somewhat tacky, but dries to an undetectable feel. I have been applying twice daily. I suggest allowing the serum to fully absorb before applying the Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer.
The serum is packaged in a rigid plastic, porcelain-like, pump bottle. The price point is a bit steep, however you get a generous amount of product for the price ($110 for 1 fl oz).
Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer
Peptide 21 Lift & Firm Moisturizer is a lightweight moisturizer formulated to deliver intense hydration and leave skin feeling bouncy, firm, lifted and younger looking. The moisturizer is also packed with 21 Peptides and neuropeptides, plus 2 Gamma Proteins. The moisturizer also includes skin hydrating ingredients: Phytofleur Cactus, Squalane, and Hyaluronic Acid Complex. Added Trehalose helps protect against future moisture loss.
Lift & Firm Moisturizer can be applied morning and night to both the face and neck. In the morning, before applying makeup, I first apply the Wrinkle Resist Serum, followed by Lift & Firm Moisturizer. The moisturizer is fragrance free, has a lightweight texture, absorbs quickly, and provides continuous hydration throughout the day. It wears well under makeup, and doesn’t leave my face feeling heavy, or oily. The moisturizer is packaged in a rigid plastic, porcelain-like, pump bottle. Yet again, the price point is a bit steep, however you get a generous amount of product for the price ($78 for 100 mL).
Peptide 21 Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads
Peptide 21 Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads targets uneven skin tone, wrinkles, fine lines and texture. The pads exfoliate skin, and enhance the skin's ability to absorb treatment products such as toners, serums, and moisturizers. Skin is left appearing radiant, smooth and revitalized. The peel pads are formulated with peptide-building amino acids and a 20% exfoliating complex of Phytic Acid, Salicyclic Acid and Sodium Lactate. Added ingredients Vitamins A and E deliver antioxidant benefits. Chamomile and Green tea help calm and soothe the skin. The pads are fragrance free, alcohol-free and pH balanced.
It is advised to start out using the pads 1 to 3 times week, increasingly to daily as tolerated. The pads leave a slight tingling effect, which is expected. I use twice weekly at bedtime, followed by Wrinkle Resist Serum, then Lift & Firm Moisturizer. My skin tolerates the pads without excess drying or irritation. Since the pads contain an alpha hydroxy acid, it is extremely important to practice diligent sun protection during use and for a week afterwards.
The pads are packaged in a rigid plastic, porcelain-like, jar. The price point yet again is a bit steep, however you get a generous amount of product for the price, ($52 for 60 pads) which is about a 1-2 month supply.
Normally I would not provide a skin care review after only using a product/product line for a little over 2 weeks. With the visible results I have seen this for, I feel it is fair to say this product works. Throughout my review I have mentioned the price point of all 3 products in the collection is a bit steep, however you get a generous amount of product for the price. So far I would consider the investment.
