Pixi took GLITTER to a whole new level this summer with a stunning glow makeup collection, featuring 5 super glittery, sparkly, liquid eyeshadows, plus two luminous glow powder highlighter palettes.
Pixi sent me the most beautiful, glittery PR package I have ever received (see below). I had an absolute blast trying all the products and am excited to share my review!

Pixi by Petra | Liquid Fairy Lights
Long wearing, liquid glimmer eyeshadow lights up the eyes with super sparkles to create an ethereal look. Infused with chamomile and rose extracts to soothe and hydrate.
Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights Liquid Eyeshadow retail for $15 at Target and on the Pixi website. The collection features five glittery shades. Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights is strikingly similar to Stila's Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid eyeshadow, although more sheer and less creamy formulation, in comparison.
The liquid eyeshadows are enclosed in a plastic tube with a doe-foot applicator. The formulation of the Fairy Lights shadow is slightly thin in consistency and contains metallic and glitter particles.
Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights can be worn solo for a subtle hint of color and shimmer, or as a shadow topper to enhance the finish on top of any eye look. The shades Crystalline and SunRay I prefer to use as a shadow topper, or at least over a pigmented primer. They are a bit more sheer/transparent with a clear base. RoseGold, BareBrilliance, and PassionLight have a metallic base and richer pigmentation.
Sun Ray: Pale yellow gold with gold/silver glitter
Rose Gold: Metallic soft shimmery rose gold with silver glitter
Bare Brilliance: A rose taupe with gold/silver glitter
Passion Light: Bold coppery metallic bronze with gold/silver glitters
In terms of wear, once dry, the liquid shadows set to a powder finish. Minimal smudging and transfer. I have noticed less fall out when shadow primer is used, (I highly recommend Too Faced Glitter Glue or Nyx Glitter Primer).
To apply Pixi Liquid Fairy Fairy Lights I recommend using the enclosed doe-foot applicator, fingers, or with a shadow brush. For super intense glitter, I would recommend using a wedge makeup sponge after using the Pixi doe-foot applicator for the first application.
Using the doe-foot applicator apply a generous amount of product to the sponge, then transfer to your lid. The sponge will transfer the glitter particles in a more concentrated manner while retaining a majority of the liquid portion of the shadow (that is also how I apply glitter polish to my nails). For cleanup after application, I suggest using cotton tipped applicator or Charcoal Swabs. I love the ones by Milk makeup
For easiest removal, I recommend using Micellar water soaked in cotton pads - I prefer Rodial Dragon Blood Cleansing Water. If you are prone to eye irritation keep in mind the liquid shadows are infused with Chamomile and rose extracts for added hydration and soothing benefits.
What I like most about Pixi Liquid Fairy Lights is the long-wearability, without creasing or caking. A quick and simple option for a reflective, bold, glittery look. These versatile shadows can absolutely brighten up every eye look. My favorite shades are Rose Gold and Crystalline.
Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo
Pixi by Petra | Glow-y Gossamer Duo | Subtle Sunrise and Delicate Dew
This luminous miracle powder lightens, brightens & adds the prettiest glow, all while looking natural on the skin.
Super silky gossamer-soft powder to create a lit-from-within luminosity. Perfectly pigmented with a creamy skin-like texture, it looks natural in any light. Use on cheek & brow bones and anywhere you want to add a touch of glow.
Pixi | Glow-y Gossamer Duo
Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duos retail for $16 at Target and $18 on the Pixi website. The highlighter duos are available in two options, which include both a light and dark shade. Subtle Sunrise features a warm rose gold and a classic champagne. Delicate Dew includes a lighter, coppery-bronze gold and a pale-pink champagne.
Pixi Glow-y Gossamer Duo are housed in a simple, yet sleek plastic compact with a clear lid.
Pixi infused Diamond powder into the formula to enhance the glam, resulting in a radiant finish. The powder highlighter duos provide a natural, alluring glow, although buildable if you desire a more dramatic, shimmery sheen. The formulation is rich in pigmentation. The consistency is very lightweight, yet soft and creamy. The finish feels silky to the touch and not chalky. While glittery in appearance, on skin the finish is more shimmer than glitter.
I am so impressed with these highlighters! They are so stunning! Both duos have been in constant rotation since I received them! The finish is so beautiful and flattering. The quality is fantastic, on par with Anastasia's Glow Palettes. They give the skin a radiant glow, without looking overly shimmery. I love layering the two shades in each palette above my cheekbones and below my brows.
