There are few liquid lipsticks I can wear without my lips crying for moisture. MatteLast Liquid Lip, a welcome addition to Pixi's other rose infused skintreats collection, is formulated with rose hip. rose flower oils, rose extract and rose water to help combat dry lip woes.
The liquid lipstick is formulated to provide long lasting , full color payoff with just one coat, while still being quick drying and offering continued hydration, In Pixi's words "the rosehip oil-infused formula moisturises the lips while quickly setting to a matte, non-transfer finish."
The collection includes 6 universally flattering and wearable shades of nude and pink. Pixi kindly sent me 5 of them, complimentary from the collection: Au Naturelle, Matte Beige, Pastel Petal, Really Rose and Evening Rose.

Evening Rose - Deeper, dusty, nude rose mauve (slightly darker than really rose) A true evening shade
Really Rose - Medium toned dusty, berry rose pink nude.
Pastel Petal - Cooler toned, pinky nude, slightly darker and softer version of Matte Beige.
Matte Beige - Warm, soft toned nude, without pink tones. More of a true nude.
Au Naturelle - Light peach/coral toned nude.
The lipstick is housed in a perfectly purse sized, cute, sleek, squarish tube, which holds the PixiPetal applicator. The PixiPetal applicator wand features a bendable design with an angled, pointed tip that allows for precise application, making it much easier to line the lips compared to most lipstick applicators.
Pixi designed the PixiPetal applicator to adapt to the curve of your lip for easy and precise application without lip liner. I still prefer my lipliner however, for an even sharper finish. The center of the applicator has an opening that holds more than enough product, so one dip into the bottle is all you need for a whole application..
To apply the lipstick it is recommended that you prep your lips first by exfoliating so that they are smooth. I would also recommend using a lip primer as well. My usual routine for any type of liquid lipstick, especially during the winter.
The rosehip oil and Vitamin E-infused MatteLast Liquid Lip has fairly thin/ light creamy consistency. One swipe provides highly pigmented , semi-matte coverage. It glides on smoothly and evenly with one application. The formula dries to what I consider a semi- matte finish after about 5 minutes.
Lightweight coverage with minimal transfer. The color will fade to some degree with eating and drinking, but should last for several hours. The lipsticks are lightly fragranced, similar to Pixi's Glow Tonic.
